During the 1960s, the Ford Anglia 5cwt was the preferred choice of small utility vehicle, for Post Office Telephones work. Resplendent in mid-bronze green, the recommended tyre pressures are painted in white over the wheel arches. |
Introduction
The Ford Anglia 309E van was produced between 1961 and 1967. The design was based on the 105E saloon car which had been launched in 1959.
The GPO Types
KYE 872D originally operated in the Portsmouth Telephone Area until 1973 and was then in private ownership until 1992. In 1995 it was bought by Ken Bennett and restored to its resplendent mid-bronze green livery.
