Hollow Telegraph Poles

Hollow Galvanised Steel Pole

Hollow, galvanised steel, telegraph poles were first tested during the mid-Seventies to be used in restricted access sites where climbing a pole might be dangerous, e.g. close to spiked railings.

The dropwire is fed up the inside of the pole using a system of pulleys and all work is carried out at ground level.
