Butlin's Luxury Holiday Camp, Clacton on Sea changed somewhat over the years between 1938 when it was first opened and 1965 when the inset photo was taken.

The swimming pool feature has remained throughout, but the buildings changed (in 1955?) from the brick construction to steel framed which were more suited for the larger structures catering for an increased number of holidaymakers.
